Alan Aubrey
Alan was the joint founder and Chief Executive of Techtran Group Limited, the first Company in Europe to offer a complete out-sourced technology transfer function to universities. Techtran was acquired by IP Group in 2005. Alan is also the Non-Executive Chairman of Proactis, an AIM listed software Company based in York and the Non-Executive Chairman of Energetix Group plc, an AIM listed Company based in Chester. From 1995-2002 Alan was a partner in KPMG where he specialised in providing advice to fast growing technology businesses. Alan holds a BA in Economics from the University of Leeds and a MBA with Distinction from the University of Bradford. He is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales. Alan is also a Non-Executive Director of the Department for Innovation, Universities and Skills.

Dr Alison Fielding
Alison co-founded Techtran Group Limited and was the Chief
Operating Officer of Techtran when it was acquired by IP Group in
January 2005. Previously, she spent five years at McKinsey & Co
where she consulted primarily to the pharmaceutical and health care
sectors. Prior to McKinsey, Alison spent four years as a
development chemist for Zeneca, performing technical roles in the
speciality chemicals and agrochemicals divisions. Alison holds an
MBA from Manchester Business School, a Ph.D. in organic chemistry
and a first class degree in chemistry from the University of
Glasgow.

Dr Laura Bond
Laura is an Investment Manager for the physical sciences. She has a background in Chemistry from Warwick, during which time she worked at GlaxoWellcome. After working for a spin-out company from the University of Vienna, she did her PhD with Pfizer GR&D at Nottingham investigating particle-particle interactions at the nanoscale. Laura subsequently worked on inhalation drug delivery systems for Quadrant Drug Delivery Ltd. in Nottingham before spending a year at Warwick Ventures working on licensing and spin-out opportunities from the University of Warwick. Laura joined the Techtran group in September 2005.

Dr Cassie O'Grady
Cassie joined Techtran in June 2008 and has a background in assessing and developing Life Science investment opportunities. Cassie holds a degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, and a PhD from the University of Leeds. Her PhD focused on the development of new antimicrobial drugs, and following her PhD Cassie joined Photopharmica Ltd to successfully lead the development of the drugs she worked on into several clinical trials. More recently Cassie worked as Health Innovation Manager at the University of Bradford, where she was responsible for supporting investment, patent protection and business development of opportunities arising from the University.

Danny Lynham
Danny is an Investment Manager for the physical sciences, with particular focus on the Energy and Chemicals & Materials sectors. Danny holds a Masters degree in Chemistry from the University of Nottingham and is named on several journal publications. Subsequently, Danny spent several years working as a project scientist in a large multinational. His previous role prior to Techtran was as lead scientist in another University spin-out. Danny joined Techtran in October 2008.

Ani Pulleyn
Anita has worked for IP Group since January 2005 following the acquisition of Techtran Group Ltd. Anita is the Group Business Support Manager for Techtran and IP Group plc and is responsible for the ongoing development of the Business Support team which offers a professional business infrastructure to all of the companies within the IP Group portfolio. In addition, Anita provides business support to spin out companies from the Universities of Glasgow, York and Leeds. Previously, Anita worked for the venture capital group 3i plc, working primarily for the new business team.

Debby Hogben
Debby joined IP Group plc in August 2007 and is the Business Support Manager for Techtran and it's portfolio of spin out companies from the University of Leeds. In this role Debby is responsible for introducing a professional business infrastructure for each spin out company. Previously, Debby has worked for blue chip companies such as Siemens A & D, Siemens Business Services and Boots The Chemists in customer care and project coordination roles and is now bringing her commercial experience to bear in supporting the Leeds spinout companies. Debby has a Bachelors degree in Business Information Systems from Leeds Metropolitan University.
